Team Spotlight: Kristen Vetter, Manager of Partner Onboarding

At Get Covered, creating a strong partner experience starts long before launch day. It begins during onboarding, where clear communication, thoughtful planning, and collaboration set the foundation for long-term success.
In this edition of our Team Spotlight series, we’re highlighting Kristen Vetter, our Manager of Partner Onboarding. From building scalable processes to creating positive experiences for both partners and internal teams, Kristen plays a key role in helping new partnerships get off to a strong start.

Building Partnerships from Day One

For Kristen, onboarding is about more than timelines and implementation checklists. It’s about building trust early and creating a partnership experience that feels collaborative from the start.
“I’ve always been really process-driven and love keeping things organized,” Kristen shared. “But more than that, I genuinely enjoy working with partners, getting them excited, building that relationship early, and making sure both they and our internal teams are set up for success from day one.”
That balance of organization and relationship-building is what makes onboarding such an important part of the client journey. Every portfolio operates differently, and creating a smooth experience often requires creativity, flexibility, and problem-solving behind the scenes.

The Creative Side of Onboarding

When asked what operators often underestimate about onboarding, Kristen pointed to the amount of customization involved.
“At Get Covered, we really try to customize our programs for each partner, which is amazing, but it also means we have to think outside the box sometimes to make everything work the way they need it to.”
Whether it’s adapting workflows, aligning processes, or coordinating across teams, onboarding is rarely one-size-fits-all. The goal is always to make implementation feel seamless while ensuring partners feel supported and confident throughout the process.

Setting the Tone for Long-Term Success

A strong onboarding experience has a lasting impact on the overall partnership. For Kristen and her team, success means helping partners feel prepared, informed, and excited about what’s ahead.
“It really sets the tone for everything that comes next,” she explained. “Our job is to make sure partners feel confident, excited, and clear on what to expect moving forward. When onboarding is done well, it makes the entire partnership run more smoothly.”
That focus on clarity and support helps property teams feel empowered from the beginning while reducing friction throughout implementation.

Celebrating the Wins That Matter

One of the most rewarding parts of Kristen’s role is hearing directly from property teams about the operational impact onboarding can have.
“Honestly, hearing property teams say they’re excited about having work taken off their plate. That’s exactly what we’re here to do, make their lives easier. So when we hear that, it’s a great feeling.”
Kristen also shared that one of her favorite parts of leadership is supporting her own team’s growth.
“Seeing members of my team grow and celebrating their wins is incredibly rewarding. As a leader, there’s nothing better than helping people build their skills and recognizing the impact they’re making.”

Outside the Office

Outside of work, Kristen spends most of her time with her one-year-old son and enjoys soaking up every moment of this stage of life.
Beyond family time, she loves hiking, kayaking, going to the beach, spending time with friends and family, and unwinding with green tea and a Netflix binge.
We’re grateful to have Kristen leading our Partner Onboarding team and helping create thoughtful, collaborative experiences for every new partner we work with.
