At Get Covered, our strength lies not only in our technology but also in the passionate leaders who shape our vision. This month, we’re thrilled to highlight Sara Jones, our Senior Vice President of Product Development. With over two decades of experience in multi-family housing and a deep dedication to customer experience, Sara brings unmatched expertise and a fresh perspective to our product team.

From Multi-Family Housing to PropTech Innovation

Sara’s career spans more than 20 years in the multi-family housing industry, where she witnessed firsthand the life-changing impact of helping people find new homes. This passion for creating positive experiences led her to transition into the PropTech space, an opportunity to scale innovation and tailor solutions to evolving client needs.
“When I learned about Get Covered,” Sara recalls, “I immediately recognized an organization where I could leverage my expertise to make a meaningful impact. A company with a genuine commitment to both employee growth and exceptional customer service. Sign me up!”

Driving Innovation with Real-World Impact

One of Sara’s proudest recent initiatives is the expansion of Get Covered’s insurance solutions for property management clients and residents. Among these, the Dog Bite Insurance program stands out as a game changer.
Sara explains, “I recently read about a property enforcing aggressive breed restrictions, leaving residents devastated. Dogs are family members, and many can’t imagine life without them. Our Dog Bite insurance provides corporate-level coverage so properties can welcome dogs of all breeds, while still maintaining proper risk management.”

What’s Next: AI, OCR, and Seamless Experiences

Looking ahead, Sara and her team are focused on delivering fast, reliable, and low-friction solutions for property management partners. Upcoming enhancements include AI-driven features, OCR technology, and improved internal tools to make processes smoother than ever.
“Our goal,” Sara says, “is to create an experience so intuitive and efficient that customers can focus on what matters most to them, while we handle the complexity in the background.”

The Art of Prioritization

Balancing innovation, operational needs, and urgent client requests is no small feat. Sara follows a clear prioritization framework:
  • Align with the Strategic Roadmap – Focus on features that fit the long-term vision.
  • Address Operational Needs – Fix issues to prevent technical debt from slowing progress.
  • Respond to Escalations Quickly – Ensure clients receive timely resolutions to keep their businesses running smoothly.

Leadership with Connection and Humor

Sara’s leadership style blends positivity, genuine connection, and a bit of humor. Each day starts with a team call to align goals, share knowledge, and support one another’s growth. She also champions AI adoption across the organization, not as a threat, but as a “powerful learning accelerator and productivity multiplier.”

Life Beyond the Office

When she’s not steering product strategy, Sara can often be found courtside. Her daughter’s school and club volleyball schedule keeps her calendar full, and she wouldn’t have it any other way.
“Having played volleyball myself, I love watching her games and practices,” she says. “It’s amazing to see how the sport has evolved, and to watch her dedication in action.”
We’re grateful to have Sara’s vision, energy, and expertise driving our product innovation. Her work not only shapes Get Covered’s offerings but also strengthens our mission to provide exceptional service and meaningful solutions for our partners and their residents.
